CEOE Pilot Test Focus Groups

Evaluation Systems will be conducting online-only pilot test focus groups for the following fields in January 2023:

• Art (102)
  • Session 1 — Tuesday, January 17, 2023, 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Central)
  • Session 2 — Thursday, January 19, 2023, 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Central)

• Chemistry (104)
  • Session 1 — Wednesday, January 18, 2023, 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Central)
  • Session 2 — Monday, January 23, 2023, 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Central)

Why should I participate?

• As a participant in the pilot test focus group, you will receive a $150.00 Amazon.com gift card.
• You will provide input on the test that will be taken by future educators.
• You will discuss the test with other focus group members.
• You will gain practical testing experience and gauge professional knowledge by taking actual test items.

How long will each test take? What is the format?

• The focus group meeting will be four hours long, including breaks.
• The test items will be shared digitally. You will submit your test responses on a computer.
• You will need to connect from a private location with secure Internet. You should have a reliable computer and Internet connection to participate.
• Part of the session will consist of taking the test.
• Part of the session will consist of discussing the items with fellow participants.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible to participate if you are

• an educator who received certification in the field in Oklahoma within the past five years
  OR
• an educator candidate who is preparing to seek certification in this field in Oklahoma.

Faculty and educators who are NOT certified in/seeking to be certified in Oklahoma are NOT eligible to participate in this pilot test focus group. Please visit the CEOE recruitment site for details about other CEOE test development opportunities that may be available to you.

When and where will the testing take place?

• Meetings will be conducted on Microsoft Teams . Materials will be shared online during the meeting.
• There will be two sessions offered for each field. Please indicate the session you wish to attend on the sign-up form .
• All participants must submit a confidentiality agreement before the session in order to participate.

This is a great chance to get a first look at the questions that will appear on redeveloped CEOE tests. We hope to see you!
