Foundations of Reading Requirement for Oklahoma

In accordance with Oklahoma State Law 70 O.S. 1210.508F, all teacher candidates are required to demonstrate knowledge of the five elements of reading instruction: phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
