Computer-Based Testing
The following CEOE tests are now offered on computer in addition to the regularly scheduled paper-based test administrations:
- OGET
- OPTE: PK–8 (first testing window is December 9–15, 2009)
- OPTE: 6–12 (first testing window is December 9–15, 2009)
Computer-based testing (CBT) is available during select six-day testing windows at Pearson Professional Centers in Oklahoma City and Tulsa and across the nation. Refer to "Test Dates for Computer-Based Testing" for a list of the testing windows currently open for registration and to "Test Sites for Computer-Based Testing" for information about available test centers across the United States.
Registration. Registration for computer-based testing is available only on the Internet by selecting "Register Now" on the CEOE Web site. There is an additional computer-based testing fee of $35 for each test taken on computer. The following guidelines apply to computer-based testing registration:
- You should plan to register as early as possible before your desired testing window. Test appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and seating is limited.
- You must wait 120 days after taking a computer-based CEOE test before retaking the same test on computer.
Test administration. In computer-based testing, examinees complete the tests by selecting answers on-screen to selected-response questions and typing responses to writing assignments. Score reporting. Unofficial test results will be posted on the CEOE Web site and official score reports will be mailed on the score report date for each testing window.
